Fear has had her mast removed and been lifted out the water. This is the start of her major refit. She will be out the water for a month which is a short period of time to get an awful lot of things done. This is only the second time i've seen her bum and i fall in love with her a little more each time.
The list below is just the things that have to be done while she is out the water, the list to get done before i go is even longer.
- Standing rigging replaced

- Raymarine Wind packs installed on top of the mast
- Tricolour light
- Coax and VHF aerial replaced
- Current mast radar reflector removed and replaced
- Prop replaced
- Cutlass bearing replaced
- Mast reinforcment
- Antifoul
- Vinyl wrap
- Non- slip deck paint
- Jib tracks
- Main track
- Raymarine through hull speed and depth transducer
- Anchor winch
- Engine maintenance and service
The list feels endless and every time i tick one thing off it feels like i add another two to the list. The temperature is making it even trickier as the freezing cold and my body don’t work together very well.
All the work is being done by me or my slightly unwilling volunteers (paid in baked goods). The project is being run on my saving and so to say I’m running on a restricted budget would be an understatement. But i will make everything work and i will get to the start line. I couldn’t do it without my amazing sponsors who are making this dream into a more possible reality.
