I'm sitting at anchor on the Outer Hebrides waiting for the storm to blow through, having made it with about an hour to spare before the 30kts gusts started coming through.
When I rounded St Kilda on day 14 as the crow flies, I am officially half way through!
I've actually done over 1200nm roughly due to the amount of upwind, but technically, I'm on my way back now! I'm not quite sure how to feel about it, but I'm mostly just trying not to think about it. As knowing my luck, I've definitely got more than another 1000nm to go.
As i prepare for the second half of my journey, I was struck by this quote: "its not about where an adventure ends because that's not what an adventure is about". To me this adventure is about proving anything is possible. And at the halfway point I think I might just be starting to believe that this challenge is maybe just possible.
